Welcome to the second Crumbskull TCG newsletter! I was sick for the past week, so a lot of the new stuff is all behind the scenes since I've been bedridden. Expect more text than pictures!
Before we get to all the lame boring stuff, let's talk about the awesome first ever completed Full Art Card! Thank you so much to Tesykii for contributing so much wonderful art to this project. I very very greatly appreciate all of the artists that have contributed to the game.
Speaking of artists, I've been brainstorming ideas for how to pay all of the wonderful artists for their contributions once CTCG becomes a commercial product, especially if it becomes somewhat successful. I am putting a lot of thought into it, as I want to make sure all the artists get their fair share of the project! Considering how many ways there are to contribute to the game, it's pretty tough! By next update I should have a more concrete plan and I can get some feedback from the community!
Recently I've been looking into the cost of getting the game printed onto real cards! It's gonna take a lot of work, as I need to make/commission a lot of assets before I feel confident in spending the money to print a prototype.
This is DEFINITELY subject to change, but the Base Set should include 85-100 unique cards, all required game pieces, and a playmat! Additionally, it should cost around $50-$80. Hopefully that price isn't too steep! I tried to keep it close to other TCGs, but it may end up a little more pricey considering how small-scale everything is.
NONETHELESS! This is all the first step of many in the manufacturing process. It's gonna take a lot of development, but I really am confident in this game!
Once again, thank you all so much for continuing to follow the development of this project. It has been very fun to make, and I am far from running out of steam!
